Join our school-based team if you are a Special Education Teacher wanting a change of scenery! We have a full-time position that works with a K-12th grade caseload. Interviews are being conducted right now, so please send me your current resume if you wish to be considered for this position!Â
Job Details:
- Onsite near the Smryna, Delaware areaÂ
- Start in August
- 35 guaranteed service hours per week
- # students/sites and caseload information will be discussed more in depth with special services' director during interviewÂ
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
- Valid state (DE) teaching certification/license in Special Education.
- Prior experience working with students with special needs in inner city is preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
